Temple Emanu-EL of Canarsie is an independent modern, egalitarian synagogue in the Canarsie neighborhood of Brooklyn, NY who seek a warm, welcoming Jewish spiritual experience in the Reform tradition.

Temple Emanu-El of Canarsie exists to promote Jewish faith in all aspects of life by means of public worship, private worship, religious education, humanitarian activities and social events. Furthermore, we welcome new situations and endeavors as they present themselves to practice and convey the values of Judaism as a community leader. Temple Emanu-El of Canarsie dedicates itself to increasing understanding between the religious groups of our community and the community at large.
Unless otherwise noted, our shabbat services are Friday nights at 8:00pm and Saturday mornings at 10:00am in our Main Sanctuary at 1880 Rockaway Parkway.
For Friday Shabbat we have carefully crafted an easy to read and follow booklet that draws from a mixture of Jewish Egalitarian sources for a unique service!
